Winter in Bayfield

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It’s all about Community at The Bayfield Mews. We are a 55+ Community providing independent living for our residents. As we venture into 2018, we are looking forward to selling out our final Phase of homes.

Take a look at the Mews web-site and also our Facebook page both of which have pictures of our homes as well as pictures of recent activities that have taken place. Both are refreshed frequently.

The infrastructure for the Final Phase has had the sanitary and storm sewers installed, main water line, lot water lines and the base road installed; completion will take place in the Spring when the weather is more suitable. There are 11 lots left for sale out of 55. Our Sales Office will be open every weekend from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday as well as holidays. A group of our home owners have graciously offered their homes for viewing during the weekend which offers the visitor a unique opportunity to see a home fully decorated. If you are unable to visit during these hours, our after-hours contact number is (519) 565-4542 or owners in units 15, 18, or 37 will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

We also have two resale homes. The first is a Columbine and is 1,355 square feet in size. The second is a Meadow and is 1,295 square feet in size. These units can be viewed every weekend during our open houses or by appointment during off-hours at (519) 565-4542.

The following are examples of events that will be taking place during the month of January in Bayfield.

  • The Friends of Bayfield Library would like to invite the community to join them in some inclusive and neutral conversation over a cup of hot brew. “Coffee & Conversation” will be held at the Bayfield Public Library every Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. until March. This is a great opportunity for people to meet their neighbours, learn about village and share their know-how with others.
  • Dine for Hospice – beat the winter blues and lift your spirits by getting together with your friends and neighbours for a special three-course gourmet dinner at Renegades Diner in support of the new Huron Residential Hospice. On Tuesday, January 23, 2018 and Wednesday, January 31, 2018, Wayne McDougall and Paula Foley will open the restaurant especially for these fundraising events. Dinner will be served between 5:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. on both days. Tickets will be available at Renegades from January 12 and 21, 2018. Cost per ticket in advance is $50.00 or $55.00 at the door.
