Real Life at the Mews
Issue 103, September 2019
Autumn in Bayfield
It’s all about Community at The Bayfield Mews. We are a 55+ Community providing independent living for our residents. As folks are all moved into Block 12, Block 13 is progressing well with roofing started and electrical underway and doors and windows have been installed. Block 14 will start in September. There is only ONE lot left in Block #15 in our Final Phase!!
On Wednesday, August 21, 2019, 22 Bayfield Mews residents took in the musical, Grease, at the Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend followed by dinner at The Old Schoolhouse Restaurant and by all accounts it was a very successful day.
Our Open House is open from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. every Saturday and Sunday as well as holidays. A group of our home owners have graciously offered their homes for viewing during the weekend which offers the visitor a unique opportunity to see a home fully decorated. If you are unable to visit during these hours, our after-hours contact number is (519) 565-4542 or owners in units 15, 18 or 37 will be happy to answer any questions you might including the inside of one of our resident’s home.
The following are examples of a few events that will be taking place during the month of September in Bayfield.
- The third annual Butterfly Release will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Pioneer Park. How many among us take notice of certain symbols that remind us of someone special who no longer walks the earth? In recognition of this, The Huron Residential Hospice is holding this event to honour the memory of loved ones or beloved pets in a symbolic way at the Butterfly Release. To learn more, visit Huron Hospice website or find them on Facebook at “Huron Residential Hospice”.
