Adult Retirement/Community Living – Is it for me?

Issue 73 March 2017

Winter in Bayfield

The Bayfield Mews will have a booth in the upcoming KW Home & Garden Show from Friday, March 31 to Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex and we hope you will come and visit our booth. We are very excited to tell you that the Bayfield Mews has our own Facebook Page and we are also on Instagram. These two popular social media sites offer all kinds of opportunities to keep everyone up-to-date with all the current activities at the Mews and in the Bayfield Community. We encourage you to visit both sites.

There are still openings in our Phase 2 and construction on these homes is scheduled for later this year. We also have one resale home. It is a Columbine and is 1,355 square feet in size. This unit can be viewed every weekend during our open houses or by appointment during off–hours at (519) 565–4542.

Our Sales Office will be open every weekend from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday as well as holidays. A group of our home owners have graciously offered their homes for viewing during the weekend which offers the visitor a unique opportunity to see a home fully decorated. If you are unable to visit during these hours, our after–hours contact number is (519) 565–4542 or owners in units 15, 17, 18, or 37 will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

The following are examples of a few of the many events that will be taking place during the month of March in Bayfield:

  • The congregation of Trinity Church in Bayfield welcomes the community to join in fellowship over a hearty bowl of soup while delighting in a great cinematic work. This extremely popular event will commence on Tuesday, March 7th and will be held on the four subsequent Tuesdays after that from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The movies will be Sully on March 7th, Miracles from Heaven on March 14th, Brooklyn on March 21st, Florence Foster Jenkins on March 28th and the final movie on April 4th will be Jersey Boys. All in the community are welcome but should reserve their space by calling (519) 565-2790. Money raised will go to outreach and church needs.
  • Friends of the Bayfield Library will present their next Saturdays at the Library event on Saturday, March 18th. Leslee Squirrell, one of the founding members of the Bayfield Artist Guild will be presenting ”how to paint in acrylics” presentation for 20 guests who would like to paint their first painting. Pre–registration is appreciated. Please call the library at (519) 565-2886.
